City offices, facilities and the library will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 5, as part of a National Day of Mourning in honor of the passing of former President George H.W. Bush.
The Colony Recreation Center, however, will have modified business hours on Wednesday, Dec. 5. The center will be open from 4 to 9 p.m. Both the Community Center and Aquatic Park will have normal business hours on Wednesday.
Days of Mourning have been declared by the White House and the Governor of Texas, during which Americans are "encouraged to gather, assemble, and pay their respects to the memory of George Herbert Walker Bush through ceremonies in homes, businesses, public buildings, schools, places of worship, or other appropriate places for public expression of grief and remembrance."
