Community Parks
The City of The Colony features 28 parks and numerous open spaces totaling 2,500 acres – one of the highest acres of parks per capita in the state. Our diverse collection of parks offers a variety of amenities, including playground areas, tennis and basketball courts, fishing ponds, BBQ grills, jogging trails, disc golf and pavilions. Austin Ranch Park
This new 3-acre addition to The Colony features a regulation size soccer field and a nature trail that connects The Colony's trail system to neighboring cities' trail systems for a continuous 73-mile round-trip pedestrian loop – welcoming all nature lovers, runners, cyclists, hikers and dog-walkers.

BB Owen Softball Complex
This 20-acre venue consists of two softball fields equipped with lights, restrooms and a small pond.

Bill Allen Memorial Park
With more than 48 acres of natural landscaping consisting of two playground areas, two basketball courts, a pavilion, amphitheatre, pond and a newly expanded disc golf course, this park is perfect for the whole family.

Bridges Park / Tennis Courts
Two tennis courts, a baseball field that can accommodate day and night games or practices with a parking lot are located on a city greenway adjacent to the future Park Loop Trail

Carr / Chapman Park
Plan your next family picnic at the Carr/Chapman Park, which features a playground area, pavilion, BBQ grill and basketball court on more than one acre of open space, evoking a sense of relaxation.

Dave Cowan Park
Send the kids to the playground as you play endless volleyball on our sand court, relax under the pavilion or cook up a feast on the BBQ grill. With more than two acres, you'll have plenty of room to play.

Friendship Park
Friendship Park is another picture perfect, one-plus acre parks consisting of a playground area, pavilion, BBQ grill and basketball court. It's an ideal location for family and friends to enjoy the outdoors.

Greenway Park
With nearly two acres, this land has plenty of area to stretch your arms. A historic Denton County Bridge was recently installed, which will ultimately become a part of the Park Loop Trail portion of the city's Trail Master Plan.

Hawaiian Waters Waterpark
Hawaiian Waters Waterpark, previously Hawaiian Falls, is a signature attraction for The Colony featuring action packed fun for the entire family. The newest thrill, the Whirlwind 360, is a 60-foot tower in which two riders are dropped from a launch tube racing down a body slide, traveling speeds up to 40 miles per hour.

Historical Park
Visit The Colony's first park site, which features a historical marker describing where the current community first began developing. It also illustrates the history of early settlers and how they selected this area to begin their lives.

Kids Colony Splash Park & Outdoor Fitness
Kids Colony Splash Park & Outdoor Fitness blends playground, splash pad and fitness equipment so every member of the family can join in on the fun. The park features a wooden all-inclusive playground and plenty of seating for guardians.

Lions Club Park
A pavilion, pond, three BBQ grills and new playground area are pleasantly nestled on more than four acres of beautifully landscaped terrain. Lion's Club Park is an ideal location for a weekend adventure of fishing, feasting and all around fun.

Outdoor Basketball Court
Located at the North Colony Municipal Complex, a basketball court for outdoor enthusiasts is provided for year-round enjoyment. Kids Colony Splash Park & Outdoor Fitness, The Colony Recreation Center, The Colony Community Center and Wheel Zone, an outdoor skate park, are also located here.

Perryman Park
With nearly two and a half acres, this park features a playground area, a pavilion, BBQ grill and plentiful green pastures.

Ridgepointe Park
Begin your Shoreline Trail adventure at this new park, which consists of more than 14 acres, two playground structures and a pavilion. The Shoreline Trail is a 10 foot wide, 3.5 mile, stamped concrete and decomposed granite surface that hugs the Lewisville Lake shoreline and is perfect for enjoying a walk, jog or bike ride.

Scout Park
Scout Park features more than 13 acres, two BBQ grills, picnic tables, small pond and a Boy Scout ceremony area.

Slay / Baker Park
Challenge a friend to a game of basketball on the full-size court or play hide-and-seek with your kids on one of two play structures. Space at this park exceeds two and a half acres - ample room for a play date.

The Colony Aquatic Park
Four beautiful pools await your family's summertime fun, including the Splash Zone park for the youngest guests. Park visitors will also enjoy the "powdered sugar" sand volleyball court and shaded leisure pavilions.

The Colony's Pawsome Playground
The Pawsome Playground features a .85 acre small dog area and 2.1 acre large dog area. Amenities include shaded seating areas, benches throughout the park, dog waste stations, trash receptacles, drinking fountain including a dog bowl, decorative fire hydrants and 6 foot chain link fence surrounding the park.

This small but quaint, one acre park features a playground area perfect for the little ones.

Wheel Zone Bike & Skate Park
Various ramps, platforms, grinding rails and benches await thrill seekers of all ages. Don't forget to wear your protective gear as you master all the ins and outs of this outdoor adventure park. The Wheel Zone skate park is located at the North Colony Municipal Complex, which is also home to The Colony Recreation Center, The Colony Community Center, the Kids Colony Splash Park & Outdoor Fitness and an outdoor basketball court.
