Calling all dog lovers! This one-of-a-kind event is returning for another great year at Hawaiian Falls Waterpark. Dive in with your best canine friend and enjoy doggie swims, contests, games, parades and prizes. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Colony Animal Shelter Injured Animal Fund. Ye Pirates are coming!  Pirates are setting their course for two full days of pirating merriment on the eastern shores of Lewisville Lake to celebrate at the Pirate Days of Texas festival.  Swashbuckling fun for the whole family! The festival features live entertainment, food, children’s activities, contests, geocaching and much more. Ye be welcome to don yer best pirate wear fer the fest (but not required). Community Health Fair

Don't miss the 4th Annual Family Fright Night Halloween campout at Stewart Creek Park. The City of The Colony and American Legion Post 21 is once again proud to celebrate and honor all the men and women who are currently serving or have served our country at this all-day festival. Activities include a fun run/walk, car/bike/truck show, family entertainment, great food, live music, silent auction, patriotic Veterans ceremonies and an incredible fireworks show. Food 4 Families Food Drive

Make a difference this holiday season by donating canned goods or non-perishable food items. Donation boxes will be placed at various locations throughout The Colony. Proceeds will be donated to local food banks right here in The Colony. Holiday In The Park & Parade of Lights

This annual event, presented by The Colony Parks and Recreation Department, will make its way through town with a bang. All-day activities include: pictures with Santa from noon to 2 p.m. at The Colony Public Library, 6800 Main St. ($2 per photo); Parade of Lights at 5:45 p.m. (route begins at the Little League ball field parking lot on N. Colony Blvd. and proceeds west to Blair Oaks and then south to The Colony High School); Holiday In The Park at 6 p.m. at Perryman Park, 4930 S. Colony Blvd. Holiday in the Park will feature festive holiday music and performances, a holiday craft station, holiday baking contest and Santa’s Workshop, where children ages 2-14 can purchase holiday gifts for their parents ($5 for one parent gift or $8 for two parent gifts).

Saturday will also kick off The Colony Christmas Spectacular light show at Central Fire Station, 4900 Blair Oaks. This light show is choreographed to music and can be seen every evening in December starting on Dec. 4 from sunset to 10 p.m. Tune your radio to 99.9FM to enjoy the music.
