This 65-acre recreational park is located along the shoreline of Lewisville Lake. It features two playground areas, a pavilion available for rental, picnic tables, BBQ grills, sand volleyball, swim beach area, restroom, three lane boat ramp, tent and RV camping and plenty of parking. Hidden Cove Park encompasses 720 acres of excellent outdoor recreational adventures along the shores of Lewisville Lake. Amenities include boat ramps, sandy beach front, bank fishing, horseshoe courts, playground area, pavilions, picnic areas, BBQ grills, volleyball, restrooms with showers and a fish cleaning station as well as tent, screened shelter, cabin and RV camping with full hook-ups. A full service marina recently opened and features a ship store with fueling dock, boat pump-out station, courtesy slips and watercraft rentals, courtesy of Big D Watersports. Eastvale Park consists of more than 50 acres and is home to Blue Sky Sports Center, an indoor / outdoor sports complex that offers two indoor soccer fields and three full-size outdoor soccer fields. A small boat launch area is also available for water enthusiasts. For a small fee, launch your boat for a day of fishing, kayaking or canoeing on the lake. Anyone wishing to use the boat launch must first check-in at the front desk of Blue Sky Sports Center and obtain a permit. Wynnwood Park consists of more than 600 acres and is home to The Tribute golf course. The park will soon feature a new 18 hole course – The Old American Golf Club. The remaining undeveloped land is being considered as a future location of an extensive nature trail. This brand new full service marina provides members and guests a ship store, restrooms, boat rentals, fueling dock and 24-72-inch slips available for rental. Big D Watersports Watercraft Rentals

Pier 121 Marina has a variety of amenities including in-water boat slips and dry boat storage providing members and guests great service. The facility features a full service fuel dock and pump-out station, ship store, restaurant with bar and on-site boat sales, boat repair shop and watercraft rentals. In addition, East Hill Park is available for family gatherings, special events or just a picnic in the sun.

Cottonwood Creek Marina has been serving Lewisville Lake since 2003. This facility offers both open and covered slips for yearly rental with electrical and water service at each slip. The marina also offers personal watercraft rental ports, courtesy slips for visitors, private restroom and shower facilities for tenants, a picturesque waterfront, eight full service fueling pump stations and a 2,500 square foot Ships Store featuring snacks, beverages and boating hardware and supplies. In addition, shoreline amenities include covered picnic areas with grills and horseshoe pits.

Named Marina of the Year in 2006 by The Marina Association of Texas, this facility is an exceptional location to meet all your needs. Some amenities include wet and dry boat storage, full service and parts department, gas dock, restrooms with showers, wireless internet access and is home to Slalom Shop, JT’s Boat Rentals and Sneaky Pete’s Sports Bar.

This full service marina is tucked away beneath Texas’ finest trees and natural landscaping but can be easily accessed by Interstate 35. Lakeview Marina features new and pre-owned boat sales, ship store, repair shop and fueling dock. In addition, covered and open slips are available for rental.

Flying and Floating Toys is located at Arrowhead Park and offers boat, personal watercraft and kayak rentals for all party sizes. In addition, they are one of the only companies in the state to offer powered parachute rides. Some ski boat rentals come with wake board and combo water skis. Reservations strongly recommended. Fishing

Hook into largemouth bass, spotted bass, white and hybrid striped bass, white crappie and blue and channel catfish. From the boat, shore or dock – enjoy fishing all year on Lewisville Lake.  Always be sure to check statewide fishing regulations to determine daily bag and length limits, which can be found by visiting the Texas Park and Wildlife Web site at www.tpwd.state.tx.us.  

Largemouth Bass - found in coves or along the shoreline and around structures – primarily timber
White Bass – sometimes referred to as sand bass, found mainly in the open lake during summer and off of points; specific locations better identified by following gulls
White Crappie - found in brushy areas and around boat docks, marinas and bridges crossing the arms of the lake
Hybrids - found in the main lake and around humps and ridges near Hickory Creek
Catfish - found near the ‘old’ Lake Dallas area

Federal Wildlife Preserve

Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA) is a federal wildlife preserve with over 2,000 acres of prairies, bottomland hardwood forests, wetlands and cross timbers forests perfect for camping, hiking and birding. Mammals such as bobcats, white-tailed deer and mink, along with over 270 recorded species of birds such as wild turkeys, painted buntings and dozens of waterfowl species, can be seen from many of the nature trails.

In addition, numerous sloughs, wetlands, creeks and dry channels, provide homes for wood ducks and other waterfowl, as well as many turtles, wading birds and amphibians. The Elm Fork River, which originally developed these areas during flooding events, is an ideal fishing location.

LLELA is managed by a group of agencies including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, University of North Texas, City of Lewisville, Lewisville ISD and Texas A & M University. Their mission is to preserve and restore native ecosystems and provide and promote environmental education and scientific research.

With such a diversity of habitats, there is a profusion of wildlife at LLELA to be enjoyed by all.

Shoreline Trail

The Colony Shoreline Trail features a 10 foot wide, 3.5 mile, stamped concrete and decomposed granite surface perfect for enjoying a walk, jog or bike ride along the beautiful shores of Lewisville Lake. Rustic bridges along the trail allow visitors to enjoy beautiful natural scenery and native wildlife. In addition, interpretive signage along the trail provides information about the flora, fauna and history of the area. Trailheads (trail starting point) are located at Ridgepoint Park (4401 Standridge Dr.) and right outside the entrance to Stewart Creek Park (3700 Sparks Rd.).
