The City of The Colony features 28 parks and numerous open spaces totaling more than 3,000 acres – one of the highest acres of parks per capita in the state.  Our diverse collection of parks offers a variety of amenities, including playground areas, tennis and basketball courts, fishing ponds, BBQ grills, jogging trails, disc golf and pavilions. Austin Ranch Park

This new 3-acre addition to The Colony features a regulation size soccer field and a nature trail that connects The Colony’s trail system to neighboring cities' trail systems for a continuous 73-mile round-trip pedestrian loop – welcoming all nature lovers, runners, cyclists, hikers and dog-walkers. Bill Allen Memorial Park

With more than 48 acres of natural landscaping consisting of two playground areas, two basketball courts, a pavilion, amphitheatre, pond and a newly expanded disc golf course, this park is perfect for the whole family. Bridges Park/Tennis Courts

Carr/Chapman Park

Dave Cowan Park

Send the kids to the playground as you play endless volleyball on our sand court, relax under the pavilion or cook up a feast on the BBQ grill. Eastvale Park

Eastvale Park consists of more than 50 acres and is home to Blue Sky Sports Center, an indoor / outdoor sports complex that offers two indoor soccer fields and three full-size outdoor soccer fields. A small boat launch area is also available for water enthusiasts. For a small fee, launch your boat for a day of fishing, kayaking or canoeing on the lake. Anyone wishing to use the boat launch must first check-in at the front desk of Blue Sky Sports Center and obtain a permit. Friendship Park

Greenway Park

With nearly two acres, this land has plenty of area to stretch your arms. A historic Denton County Bridge was recently installed, which will ultimately become a part of the Park Loop Trail portion of the city’s Trail Master Plan. Hawaiian Falls Waterpark, a signature attraction for The Colony, features action packed fun for the entire family. The newest thrill, The Torpedo, is a four story high adrenaline rush which drops brave contenders through a trap door into a vertical plunge shooting them in a launch tube at breathtaking speeds. Those looking to just relax can make a splash in the Breaker Bay wave pool or retreat to the Kona Cooler lazy river. Open May through September. Hidden Cove Park encompasses 720 acres of excellent outdoor recreational adventures. Amenities include boat ramps, sandy beach front, bank fishing, horseshoe courts, playground area, pavilions, picnic areas, BBQ grills, volleyball, restrooms with showers and a fish cleaning station as well as tent, screened shelter, cabin and RV camping with full hook-ups. A full service marina recently opened and features a ship store with fueling dock, boat pump-out station, courtesy slips and rentals. Historical Park

Kid's Colony

The Kid’s Colony playground is the perfect afternoon adventure for children of all ages. This large, community built, wooden playground has plenty of seating for parents as they watch their children play. The Kid’s Colony playground is located at the North Colony Municipal Complex, which is also home to The Colony Recreation Center, The Colony Community Center, outdoor basketball court and SK8 Zone – an outdoor skate park. Lion's Club Park

Outdoor Basketball Court

Perryman Park

Ridgepointe Park

Begin your Shoreline Trail adventure at this new park, which consists of more than 14 acres, two playground structures and a pavilion. The Shoreline Trail is a 10 foot wide, 3.5 mile, stamped concrete and decomposed granite surface that hugs the Lewisville Lake shoreline and is perfect for enjoying a walk, jog or bike ride. A parking lot is also provided for the convenience of our guests. The other trailhead for the Shoreline Trail is located just before the entrance to Stewart Creek Park (3700 Sparks Rd.). Scout Park

SK8 Zone

Various ramps, platforms, grinding rails and benches await thrill seekers of all ages. Don’t forget to wear your protective gear as you master all the ins and outs of this outdoor adventure park. The SK8 Zone skate park is located at the North Colony Municipal Complex, which is also home to The Colony Recreation Center, The Colony Community Center, the Kid’s Colony playground and an outdoor basketball court. Slay/Baker Park

This 65-acre recreational park is located along the shoreline of Lewisville Lake. It features two playground areas, a pavilion available for rental, picnic tables, BBQ grills, sand volleyball, swim beach area, restroom, three lane boat ramp, tent and RV camping and plenty of parking. Four beautiful pools await your family's summertime fun, including the Splash Zone park for the youngest guests. Park visitors will also enjoy the "powdered sugar" sand volleyball court and shaded leisure pavilions. The facility also features a heated indoor pool during the winter and spring months and year-round activities including adult exercise classes, lap swimming, SCUBA, kayaking, private party rentals and youth swim clubs.

Wynnwood Park consists of more than 600 acres and is home to The Tribute Golf Club and the brand new 18-hole course – The Old American Golf Club. The remaining undeveloped land is being considered as a future location of an extensive nature trail.
